- HappySaplings was started in 2006 by Rohan Etsebeth, Hannes Bernard, Natasha Taljaard and Hugh Fletcher Cox as a means of exploring experimental design and illustration, and trying to create a niche in the market for young creative individuals. Rohan and Hannes are both working as designers at The President, and Hugh and Natasha run the collective. Natasha is also the owner and creative force behind Trouvrou Fashion, and is intricately involved in screenprinting and event management. Hugh is a Cape Town based designer, illustrator and artist. The collective is continually changing and collaborating with other artists, designers, and artisans. We strive to create an environment and platform where passion thrives, and allows us to pursue our artistic interests. We all have dayjobs, and created this space to fill with freelance art projects that express our individuality, quirkiness, and passions.
